Inspired by the likes of Yann Tiersen, Ólafur Arnolds and Max Richter, Chafa’s range of bittersweet melodies seek to explore what it means to be a part of the human experience. Chafa has been playing composing music for piano since he was twelve. For him it was an escape from the trials of adolescence. Early-on he was heavily influenced by classic rock, hip-hop, R&B, and jazz. This diverse range of inspirations seeps through in his style that’s rich and oozing with originality. He’s completely self-taught by ear which gives him an added edge and a level of authenticity in his work that is otherwise hard to come by. In his musical career he’s had the opportunity to perform at a wide range of events. From the streets of New Orleans to Radio City Music Hall, he’s been a certified source of musical entertainment for many. Through bearing his soul through song he hopes to connect with listeners and evoke deep emotions within them. Very few acts play with such purpose and elegance, quite like Chafa. Mesmerizing.
