Peter Belec


Peter Belec is a multi-instrumentalist musician based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, who primarily works as a professional guitarist, producer and guitar instructor. His guitar playing has appeared on over 30 albums since 2003, including Juno winning artists Colin Cripps (of Blue Rodeo fame) and Paul Reddick. Peter has performed live on numerous radio and television programs including CBC’s Radio 2 Drive, Canada Live and the Key of A. He has played all over Canada and has had the opportunity to share the stage with many artists including Jakob Dylan, Jimmy Rankin, Patrick Watson, Emm Gryner and has opened for Crash Test Dummies, Spirit of the West, Hawksley Workman, Frank Black, Fred Eaglesmith, Kathleen Edwards and Jim Cuddy. Recent works include a sixty minute soundscape piece commissioned as part of Parer Studio’s ‘Fantastic Planet’ installation in Edmonton, and a remix of Spookey Ruben’s ‘When Your Heart Says Yes’ which appears on an EP with Mac DeMarco and John McEntire.Peter is very excited to be working with Little Symphony Records in a new musical venture focusing on neo-classical music.
